Perfomance Report 2006
We want to care more for our customers and continually improve customer experiences

More than a quarter of the UK’s residents and businesses depend on us to deliver through our network of cables and overhead lines the electricity on which their homes, businesses, community buildings and leisure activities depend. We also have more than 5.5 million customer accounts with people who have selected EDF Energy in a highly competitive market to be their energy supplier of choice. To all of these we have a big responsibility.

Eva Eisenschimmel

"We are committed to building on the foundations we have secured around corporate responsibility and we are ready to further respond to the social and environmental challenges we face. Our role in the communities we serve – empowering customers to reduce their carbon footprint, working to support our vulnerable customers and to tackle the causes of fuel poverty while providing a first class service to our customers, competitive pricing and a powerful range of produces and services – is of absolute importance to us and vital to the sustainable future of Customers Branch."

Paul Cuttill

"In 2006 the company took the decision to bring together our private networks activity and our regulated networks activity to create one branch. By doing this, we are creating a centre of excellence for the design, operation and maintenance of electrical networks both now and going into the future. Improving on the essential service we provide to all of our customers – residential as well as commercial and public sector – and better responding to their changing needs is key to being a sustainable business."
