Created by BRE in 1988, BREEAM is an environmental assessment method for buildings. It sets the standards for best practice in sustainable development and measures achievement.
Carbon Footprint
The Carbon Footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gases produced to directly and indirectly support human activities, usually expressed in equivalent tons of carbon dioxide (CO2). An ‘Energy’ Carbon Footprint is the amount of CO2 emitted every year from the energy produced for your use (primarily from fossil fuel sources).
CFP (Coaching for Performance)
Coaching for Performance (CFP) is a performance management tool for every individual employed by EDF Energy. CFP is a process which ensures that all staff is aligned to our strategic goals and purpose, as well as being a vehicle to ensure the continued improvement of staff performance.
CHP (Combined Heat and Power Plants)
An electricity generation plant that makes use of both the electricity generated and the heat lost from the generating process.

Customer Interruptions
A standard measure of network reliability. Represents the number of interruptions per 100 customers and is calculated as: (total customers affected / total customers connected to the network) *100
Customer Minutes Lost
A standard measure of network reliability. Represents the average number of supply minutes lost per customer.
